It is sadly that time of year again where we must wish the Year 6's a warm farewell and send them luck and well wishes as they embark on the next chapter of their educations. Thank you to all the Year 6's, you have all achieved so much and are a credit to the school. We hope you enjoy your send off at the Leavers BBQ and Concert!
As the Year 6's move on, The Friends would also like to say a big hello and welcome to the all the children and their families joining us in September in reception class! We look forward to meeting you all soon and wish you all a successful journey at the school!
It has been a busy month, with the return of the school fete being held at the end of June as well as a whole school trip to Bewilderwood funded by The Friends. The children (and adults!) had an amazing day and it is something we are looking forward to next year already!
The fete was a great success and The Friends are pleased to announce over £1400 was made which is an incredible result and will make a big difference to the plans we have in-store for the next academic year. Of course we couldn't have made it possible without the help of others so we must say a special thanks to Mandy at The Red Lion & Greene King and Rob at Bruha Brewery for their wonderful keg donations. A MASSIVE thank you to James Viera for performing for the whole day, it was an incredible performance. To Orchard Toys, Kettle Chips and Morrisons for their wonderful toys and food & drink donations. To Simon Callow and Anne Wood for providing us all with somewhere to sit and relax with their straw bales. Thank you to Kenninghall Lands Trust for their gazebo, keeping us all shaded during the day and to Neil for giving the kids — big and small!!- fun in the police car. Finally a HUGE heartfelt thank you to the school and all the amazing parents and volunteers who helped make the day possible!!! We could not have done any of this without all of you!
We hope you all have a wonderful summer and are very much looking forward to the next year of activities!!
